Spout Adapter – Leak-Proof Auto-Stop Spout Accessory Designed to fit into smaller tank openings—from cars and trucks to chainsaws and yard equipment—this adapter threads directly on your Tuff Jug Auto-Stop Spout for a clean, easy pour, every time. Leak-Proof Design – Built with Viton o-rings to provide a leak free seal. Versatile Fit – Works with tank openings at least 0.8" and in late model vehicles (even those with cap-less tank filling systems). Works in conjunction with the Auto-Stop Spout on all 3 Tuff Jug utility container sizes. Why It Matters:Small tanks and late model vehicle inlets are too small for the standard Auto-Stop Spout diameter. The spout adapter solves the problem. No more funnels. No more spills. Just smooth fills and more control. Will the flow rate be slower when using the Spout Adapter?: When using the Spout Adapter, you will notice a slower flow rate compared to using the standard Tuff Jug Auto Stop spout by itself. This is due to two factors: The Spout Adapter has a smaller internal diameter than the standard auto-stop spout, thus flow is restricted. A vent line cannot be run all the way to the tip of the adapter, which limits airflow and slows dispensing. If you plan to primarily use your Tuff Jug with the Spout Adapter attached and would like to improve the flow rate, we recommend installing an external poly vent on your Tuff Jug. This allows added airflow and significantly improves pouring speed. Poly vents can be found here. Use notice: For compatible utility fluids and applications only. Do not use Tuff Jug utility containers or accessories for fuel or kerosene.
