That beer was brewed immediately on the return from Chris and my trip to Belgium in 2022 when we collaborated with Au Baron, Thiriez and Fantôme. Spring was a response to brewing at Fantôme and sort of just throwing the book at the wall and accepting that making something fun, for fun and fun to drink was the primary concern. Like the previous releases, Spring 2025 is just stupidly tasty. Meesh's tasting notes - On the nose, poorman's orange does the heavy lifting, displaying a floral citrus note akin to bergamot, matched with white pepper, grapefruit peel and a distinctly Belgian ester profile. This beer is reminiscent of a spritz in all the best ways, with fresh, soft citrus character met by a pleasant bitterness and a delightful level of fizz.
