Spring Blossoms is simple and large. Single wild rose blooms open flat, five soft petals in cream and blush with a deeper pink along one edge, around a loose centre of yellow and o chre stamens, and small pointed sage leaves and tight buds fill the spaces. The tan ground is warm and shows generously. There is almost no detail work anywhere, just clean shapes and clear colour, which is why it scales up to a wall without becoming busy.
