Discovered in Cincinnati Ohio, this cultivar has huge 5 inch flower bracts that blanket the tree in early spring. The volume and size of the flowers dwarf most other cultivars and really are a sight to behold. It has excellent vigor, consistent flowering and enhanced tolerance to pathogens. Growing to be around 20 x 30 ft. wide and high it can be a striking specimen tree for a larger garden or an excellent colorful addition on the margins of a woodland or yard. If your dogwood will be planted in lower quality soil we recommend it have partial shade, if it will be planted in full sunlight we recommend it be planted in soil that is rich in organic matter. Almost all dogwoods will require supplemental watering in their early years and during hot/dry periods.
