Mixed media on canvas Size 36" X 48" For a long time, I’ve had a studio practice where I process emotions through paint. Whenever something deeply moves me -a conversation, a song, the heartbreaks I can’t mend, the sense of bearing witness to tragedy yet feeling powerless… I turn to the canvas. I write on it, layer it with paint, then write again. I call this practice-studio diaries. Sometimes I write on raw canvas, sometimes over washes of color, sometimes erasing, sometimes revealing. That is how my newest painting, Love is in the Air, came to life. It’s a warm, emotional piece that makes me feel all fuzzy inside…. Show more
