The colorful activities and experiments are sure to be a big hit with your kinders! As always, you'll have to head over to Kristin's blog for the set of activities, but here's a sneak peek at our favorites... Insect Diagrams Insect diagrams are a great way to introduce the new unit! First, teach your kinders about the different parts of an insect - Kristin links to a fun song to help your kiddos remember them - then have students create scientific drawings of various insects in their science journals! Pollination Experiment We absolutely love this experiment demonstrating how bees are instrumental in pollinating flowers! The original idea came from Little Warriors. Using Cheetos, paper bags, and bee finger puppets, students learn how, when a bee lands on a flower, they get pollen on their legs which they take with them to other flowers. [NOTE: Kristin adapted the experiment, using cupcake liners and colorful flower cutouts, instead of a paper bag!
