Series : Banksia Bushland "This painting marked the beginning of my obsession with Magpies. I had never painted them before, but had wanted to for so long - I think fear of not being able to do them justice had held me back. Im proud to say I really impressed myself with this first attempt - there is that thing that happens when you are doing something for the first time that is really special - its never going to be like that again - The title reflects both how I felt after I completed it and the joy I feel as Spring begins - something we really notice here in the South West".
