The SPRO RkCrawler 55 is a popular, crawfish-imitating crankbait (hard-bodied fishing lure) designed by professional angler Mike McClelland. It is famous for its wide, erratic "hunting" action and ability to bounce and deflect off rocks and hardcover to trigger aggressive reaction strikes. Quick Facts & Specifications: Length: 55 mm (approximately 2 1/10 inches) Weight: 1/2 oz Diving Depth: 9 to 14 feet Hooks: Pre-rigged with premium Gamakatsu #5 Round Bend treble hooks Why Anglers Use It:The RkCrawler 55 is built to crawl across the bottom. Deflecting a lure off the bottom (bumping rocks and logs) causes the bait to pause and dart away irregularly. This erratic movement triggers a predator's natural instinct to attack. It is highly effective for targeting bass, especially in clear, rocky highland reservoirs and lakes. For varying conditions, a sister model—the RkCrawler MD 55—is also available. It features a rounder, shorter bill and is designed for a shallower diving depth of 4 to 8 feet.
