Planting: Spruce It Up™ tolerates a wide range of soil types, as long as there is good drainage. Choose a spot that receives full sunlight (6 to 8 hours per day). To plant, dig your hole shallower than the root ball and at least twice its width, loosening the soil throughout so that the roots can break through easily. Then, back fill the hole while applying water to remove any air pockets. For container planting, select a pot that’s about one and a half or two times bigger than the container Spruce It Up™ arrives in. Follow the planting directions below and place in an area with adequate sunlight. 2. Watering: Water regularly and deeply, weekly or more often in extreme heat, during the first full growing season – this will ensure that it establishes a thorough, extensive root system.
