This has been an idea in the back of our heads for quite a while. Making belts, wallets and other leather goods, we end up with a whole bunch of scrap leather. Bellies and necks from a hide aren't the best areas to use as a belt. Seeing as our shop dog, Spud, likes to grab leather scraps anyhow, we designed a Chew toy out of the stuff! Here's Spud's Chew Chew. Made of 100% vegetable tanned leather; cut, looped and hand-braided around four 4" slightly offset leather disks. The idea of the design was to be thrown, tug-of-war'd, or just chewed on.. The dogs we've had test them have been loving the un-do-the-braids puzzle over time. Details • Made in USA of domestically sourced Vegetable tanned leather • About 10" OAL (6" handle, 1" of disks, 3" braid) • Size may vary slightly as these are handmade from different pieces of scrap leather • 100% leather, no rivets or any other metal/stitching
