The Hayward Drain Plug with Gasket (SPX1700FGV) is a replacement drain plug with sealing gasket for Hayward pool pump strainer pots. The drain plug seals the strainer pot drain por t for normal operation and is removed for winterization to drain the pump. Replace when the plug is cross-threaded, the gasket is leaking, or annually as preventive maintenance. Apply Teflon tape or use the supplied gasket for a leak-free seal.
