The two-part system consists of a detector used by organized rescue groups, and reflectors that are integrated into our apparel. Together they enable rapid pinpointing using harmonic radar but are not a substitute for transceiver use. PrimaLoft® insulation's silky softness, high loft and incredible warmth mimics goose down, but it's engineered with proprietary finish technology to deliver permanent water resistance. Pertex© Shield: A three-layer system, Pertex© Shield provides a perfect balance of waterproofing, breathability, and wind and water repellency, with flexibility and lightweight construction.
