Squalane is a completely odourless, colourless carrier oil that adds nothing to the scent of your composition. It absorbs into skin quickly, leaving a silky, non-greasy finish rather than the oily residue of heavier carriers. This makes it ideal for perfume oils and roll-on fragrances. Your skin produces squalene naturally as part of its own sebum — squalane is the stabilised version, hydrogenated to prevent oxidation. This means it absorbs readily and feels familiar on skin rather than sitting on the surface. It will not go rancid, turn yellow, or develop off-notes over time. Use squalane anywhere you would use jojoba or fractionated coconut oil, but with a lighter feel and longer shelf life. It is non-comedogenic and suitable for face-safe formulations. This olive-derived version is identical in every functional way to sugarcane squalane.
