Use a warm wet washcloth (both sides) to thoroughly remove all makeup. Splash face in warm water over skin 5-10 times and pat dry. Follow with a toner and a drop of the oil. Can be used near your eyes, no problem! If you have oily/acne-prone skin, you may like to cleanse again, with your cleanser of choice. This is not necessary, but some prefer this double cleansing method. Anyone can use this on their skin, scalp, hair, and lips! In particular, it is one of the few things a person with Malassezia/Folliculitis can use. Folliculitis begins as small, pimple-like bumps that spread and turn into crusty sores. Fun facts: Malassezia typically grows and thrives in warmer and humid climate because we are more likely to sweat when it’s hot outside, and sweat is made from lactic acids and salt, which in the presence of human skin lipids will cause Malassezia to proliferate/multiply.Malassezia and Folliculitis live and thrive at a pH of 5.5 to 7.5, which is at the higher end of the acid mantle, or the normal pH of healthy human skin which is around 4.5. By using slightly acidic skincare, you can beat this problem.Keep in mind that sensitization to Malassezia is most likely a combination of a damaged/dysfunctional acid mantle skin barrier, your genetic background, and environmental factors. You should always use proper skincare with a pH between 3 and 5. Soap or skin wash does not stay on your skin for more than a few seconds, and so they are not the root cause of the yeast-fungus, with the exception of the Oil Cleansing method, never use this method when you have this skin condition.
