Brilliant colors finish a fading mountain sunset over Squaw Pass near the Continental Divide in Colorado. Story behind the photo: While driving home from an evening of failed sunse t photo attempts, I spotted this shot in my rear view mirror. It was almost pitch black while taking the photo, but the long exposure picked up things the human eye couldn't. I'm so happy I stopped as this is one of my all-time favorite images!
