What is the SRAM MRX Comp Microfriction Front Shifter? The SRAM MRX Comp Microfriction Front Shifter is a thumb-actuated flat bar shifter for the front derailleur, using a friction-style actuation that works across a wide range of front derailleur types and cable pull ratios. Microfriction design allows fine-tuning of front derailleur position beyond fixed indexed positions, which is particularly useful on drivetrains where indexed front shifting is inconsistent or where a universal front shifter is needed. Compatible with most 2x and 3x front derailleurs on flat bar bikes. The microfriction front shifter is the practical solution for any flat bar build where front shifting needs to be dialed in manually, or where compatibility across different derailleur brands is required.
