These sample holders are designed to allow the user to take advantage of the benefits of side-loading on systems that reference the top surface of the sample holder (for example, c ertain PANalytical systems). Some XRD systems use bearings or small tabs to align the sample holder to the plane of diffraction. The two-part design of these holders allows for a solid surface to be referenced by the diffractometer even while rotating. Custom well sizes are optional with the most common being 30mm diameter with a 1mm depth. Note that a special variant of our side-loader tool (pictured as a suggested loading method) is available for these, as well as a simple tool to assist with assembling the loaded holder.
