The ATC SSM12i Pro is a shallow-mount, passive 2-way studio monitor specifically designed for wall and ceiling installations in immersive and surround audio environments. Compact, accurate, and incredibly versatile, it’s the most space-conscious monitor in ATC’s SSM (Shallow Soffit Monitor) series, making it an ideal choice for smaller control rooms, Dolby Atmos® setups, or any application where maintaining ATC’s sonic integrity in tight spaces is essential. Drawing its design heritage from the proven SCM12 Pro nearfield monitor, the SSM12i Pro features ATC’s proprietary 150 mm (6") CLD mid-bass driver paired with the SH25-76 soft dome tweeter. This driver combination delivers balanced, detailed, and dynamic sound, perfect for critical monitoring tasks even when the speaker is mounted flat to a wall or overhead. The enclosure measures just 147 mm (5-13/16") deep, including the mounting hardware. A custom-designed mounting system allows the monitor to sit flush against the wall or ceiling, then pivot toward the listening position, preserving frequency response and ensuring precise stereo and spatial imaging. Users can mount the cabinet in portrait or landscape orientation, enhancing flexibility for ceiling or wall-mounted immersive configurations.
