This weave is a reimagining of Melin Tregwynt’s original Vintage Star design, inspired by the bold simplicity of early 18th-century Shaker textiles. Developed in the 1980s by Howard Griffiths, the second generation of the Griffiths family to run the company, it pays homage to both Shaker craftsmanship and traditional Welsh weaving. Woven from 100% pure new wool, the fabric captures the warmth, weight, and breathability of vintage Welsh blankets—while remaining practical and easy to care for. Like all Melin Tregwynt throws and blankets, it features a simple hem and fully reversible design, offering two striking looks in one. Dimensions: 120 x 200cm Material: 100% Lambswool Reversible - finished with a simple hem so you can choose to display either side. Colour - Deilen (Green) Care: We recommend dry cleaning cushions, but they can be hand washed gently in cool water (max 30°C) with delicate detergent. Rinse in cold water, press (don’t wring), then give a quick spin cycle. Reshape while damp and line dry or dry flat. Cool iron if needed. For blankets and throws, do not use the wool wash programme—wool can hold up to 30% of its weight in water, so large items may need a bath! Avoid soaking, as it may shrink or felt the fibres.
