This is a Stabilized Maple Burl turkey trumpet. Stabilized woods has wonderful properties make it an excellent choice for turkey trumpets. It is a beautiful wood and extremely hard from the stabilizing process that helps with shedding the moisture from using the call. Excess moisture can change the internal dimensions of the call through use. This excess moisture can effect the sound the call produces.
