The GEN-Y Stabilizer Kit (SKU GH-0100) is a steel, screw-style bar kit that bolts or welds onto a GEN-Y drop hitch to r emove slop and wobble at the ball mount connection. GEN-Y recommends it for any GEN-Y drop hitch with roughly 12.5 inches or more of drop, and the kit doesn't include the hitch itself.Drop hitches with a long drop length have more leverage acting on the connection between the ball mount and the hitch shank, which can let the ball mount develop slop or wobble over time. This kit's screw style bars tighten down against the hitch rails, adjusting from 24 inches to 33 inches, to eliminate that play once installed.The kit includes the adjustable stabilizer bar assembly, and GEN-Y recommends bolting or welding it onto the side or bottom of your hitch's rails. Some drilling or welding is required as part of installation. Depending on your setup, you may also need a Y bracket (available in 16K or 21K versions) or frame brackets, sold as separate options alongside the stabilizer bars themselves.The stabilizer bar kit itself is available for 2 inch receivers on 10K and 16K hitches, and for 2.5 inch receivers on 21K and 32K hitches.
