A spiral iron staircase in black and white, shot looking up into the turn.The treads are perforated — rows of small holes and diamonds punched through the metal — and with light co ming from behind them the whole staircase becomes a pattern of dots and dashes curving away overhead. The handrail spirals through the frame as one continuous line. There is no floor, no ceiling, and no way to tell how tall it is.Purely graphic. Black, white, and a curve. It fits a modern room better than most of my work does. Show more
