The Stance Vase begins with a question of proportion. Colin King Studio, known for its spare and considered approach to objects and interiors, looked to the logic of traditional di splay stands - structures built not to compete with what they hold, but to give it presence. The result is a vase that frames a single branch or a long-stemmed flower the way a plinth frames sculpture. Cast in bronzed brass, the Stance Vase is designed to change. Its surface patinates over time, acquiring depth and warmth that no factory finish can replicate. The form itself is restrained: upright, deliberate, quietly architectural. It holds its ground in a considered interior without demanding attention.
