Standing Eggs' grew from the realisation that I am drifting into my father's shape. He once seemed to stand like stone; I pushed against him, resisted him, and at the same time tru sted him to be fixed, knowable. Now that I am older, what I saw as stable, immovable reveals itself as layered and unresolved. This work holds an unsettled recognition of vulnerability in male figures. Depicting egg‐shaped testicles—masculine and virile yet soft, nurturing and requiring care—this piece explores the space between aggressive façades and passive collapse, and the potential held in vulnerability.
