This species is native to Ecuador. It gets 3 to 7 flowers per spike. The flowers are white with a yellow and white lip. Some may get a distinct red eye on the lip.2022 Stanhopea Sp ecies Offering NoticeThis spring of 2022, we are offering potted, rooted back-bulb Stanhopea species that were divided from our collection plants during the summer of 2021. These divisions are established but have older leafless bulbs which function to fuel the emergence of new growths and flower spikes. These orchids are potted in coconut husk chunks in solid pots. The flower stems can grow over the rim or through a drain hole. However, they will flower the easiest in a basket packed with sphagnum moss.
