A native of the state of Tolima, Colombia. A deep yellow with red spots and a very sweet fragrance makes for a great Stanhopea! We grow our stanhopea in solid pots, not baskets, un til they reach blooming size. We can grow them at double the speed this way. Once they have reached a size that will fit into a 6 to 8-inch basket, we transfer them. The flower spikes come out pendulously.
