Behind the Art Stanley captures the iconic view of Stanley Park from the Lions Gate Bridge, Vancouver. This painting was a fun artistic challenge and an opportunity to experiment w ith a more impressionistic approach. Incorporating palette knife techniques, I focused on creating texture and movement within the trees, contrasting them with the finer details of the lighthouse and seawall below. This scene feels deeply nostalgic to me. It brings back memories of summer days biking the seawall - warm sun on my skin, salty air, and the feeling of being completely present.
