A bear, seated on a rock, nose tilted to the sky. It's a simple pose, but David Meredith — one of the UK's foremost wildlife sculptors — has a gift for finding the moment in an ani mal that makes it feel completely alive. This is that moment. Hot-cast in bronze at the foundry and hand-finished using traditional patination techniques, the colour moves from a warm cream at the muzzle through rich amber and brown to the dark, textured rock beneath — a depth you don't get from painted resin or cold-cast work.
