Description: This listing is for the exact Star Mica pictured. Weight: Approx. 155.0 grams Size: Approx. 45.9mm x 43.4mm x 38.3mm Properties: This beautiful variation of mica was harvested in Brazil where it is known as estrella (star) mica because of its star-shaped formations. Some specimens may also include feldspar and/or quartz. This yellow variety of mica brings even more optimism and hope to an already positively uplifting stone. The soft yellow hues radiate through a glistening gentle sheen. We basically have an anti-depressant in the form of a stone! Mica is known for its gentleness and power, it's time-release action, and its ability to mirror the inherent ‘goodness’ of the user. Like lepidolite, this also raises the qi, creating upliftment. Generate self-love, love of humanity, love of this world, restored hope, and happiness for the whole family. Hint: Birds and pets love this stone. Place it by their beds or cages. Mica is a miraculous stone with a very long list of chemical properties. Check this out from Wikipedia: Mica sheets are chemically inert, dielectric, elastic, flexible, hydrophilic, insulating, lightweight, platy, reflective, refractive, and resilient. Mica is stable when exposed to electricity, light, moisture, and extreme temperatures. It has superior electrical properties as an insulator and as a dielectric, and can support an electrostatic field while dissipating minimal energy in the form of heat; it can be split very thin (0.025 to 0.125 millimeters or thinner) while maintaining its electrical properties, has a high dielectric breakdown, is thermally stable to 932 °F. Muscovite, the principal mica used by the electrical industry, is used in capacitors that are ideal for high frequency and radio frequency. In stone medicine, mica is one of the most versatile stones in existence, capable of action in almost every category and function of clinical treatment and formulas. This is a rough natural mineral with a softness to the mineral or matrix. It's normal to find a bit of mineral dust in your package upon opening. Policies and Disclaimers: ALL of our stones and crystals are pure and natural!* They are free from synthetic treatments of all kinds including dyes, stabilizers, and synthetic heat treatments to enhance color. *We offer a very small handful of listings with synthetic alterations due to non-availability in pure form.
