When using a DSLR and a refractor between f/5.5 to f/6.5 the field is flattened across the entire sensor. When using small chips like popular 4/3rd's or 1" size sensors, refractors up to f/7.5 will not experience any change in focal length. Requiring a standard 55mm of back focus, this Starfield 1X flattener is perfect for any DSLR imager and is well suited for APS-C and smaller sensors. No additional extension rings are required. The standard clear aperture of 38 mm offers no vignetting with APS-C and smaller sensors. A 44 mm clear aperture is produced when the optional 48mm T-Ring adapter is used. Your imaging sessions will benefit with a flat field while maintaining your telescopes focal length. A standard 42 mm T-Ring is required. This astrophotography accessory is made of hard-anodized aluminum and will stay beautiful for years to come.
