This piece was inspired by the spidery leg floral, bulbophyllum echinolabium orchid, often called the starfish flower. Even when the plant bulbs bloom, they will continue to grow, symbolic of a journey of death and rebirth. Each cycle of my life, and many others will continue to grow outward, in spite of the hardships and lessons we learn along the way. Florals often inspire me to create worlds around them as vibrant as the one I've worked to build around myself.
