Starmaster is a space combat simulation game for the Atari 2600, released in 1982 by Activision. Designed by Alan Miller, it belongs to the shoot 'em up genre. In Starmaster, the player controls a spaceship navigating through a starfield to engage in battles against enemy alien spacecraft. The game's objective is to defend friendly starbases while destroying enemy fighters and capital ships. Gameplay involves strategic management of fuel, shields, and radar, while dodging asteroid fields and warping between action zones.
