This stationery is handmade by Cartiera Amatruda in the ancient duchy of Amalfi, Italy, one of the oldest and most renowned papermaking centers in Europe. Cartiera Amatruda has pro duced fine stationery since 1380. Today's Amalfi paper comes directly from that rich history and is watermarked with the Cartiera Amatruda coat-of-arms. Each deckle-edged sheet is crafted with care, using many of the traditional methods first developed in the Middle Ages.
