Coolant Temperature Sensor for the engine cooling circuit, threaded into the coolant gallery in the cylinder head. The sensor's resistance varies with coolant temperature and is re ad by the engine management system to correct fuelling and cooling fan operation, and to drive the instrument-pack temperature gauge. Specified for the 2.5L 6-cylinder diesel engine. An intermittent or drifting sensor commonly shows up as erratic temperature gauge readings or poor cold-start behaviour. Show more
