Boost Control Solenoid Valve - an electro-pneumatic vacuum switching valve in the engine vacuum control circuit. The solenoid is energised by the engine management ECU and modulate s the vacuum supply passed on to a diaphragm actuator, working either as the turbocharger boost control valve or as the EGR vacuum regulator depending on the installation. It is plumbed between the vacuum source and the actuator, with its electrical connector on the valve body.
