After a failed robbery, would-be crook Jack Clayton (Tony Danza) narrowly escapes the cops by donning a Santa suit. Hiding out in a small town, he takes a job playing St. Nick at a local Christmas tree yard owned by a beautiful single mother (Lea Thompson).
