Tarot has always thrived in the margins, and the Victorian era's obsession with industry, occultism, and the unknowable future makes for a natural collision. The Steampunk Tarot drops the traditional Rider-Waite archetypes into a world of brass clockwork, coal smoke, and arcane machinery, where the gods of the machine have their own gospel to preach.Written by John and Caitlin Matthews, two of the most respected names in Western esoteric tradition, this deck isn't a novelty cash-in on a visual aesthetic. The symbolism runs deep, the readings hold weight, and Wil Kinghan's illustrations do the heavy lifting visually, blending gothic mechanical imagery with genuine occult literacy. Whether your altar leans dark academic or your shelves are full of Clive Barker paperbacks and incense ash, this deck earns its place.78-card tarot deck with guidebook.
