Play as a chieftain in this 4X asymmetrical conquest and management game for 2 to 5 players. Your obsession is the survival of your clan. In Steamwatchers’ terribly hostile world, the only way to survive is to settle near Steam Columns, fleeting oases of warmth in an icy world. But one of the unique features of the game compared to other 4X games is that you can’t stay in these areas because of the mysterious disease that affects those who stay too long near the columns. You must keep moving and conquer other steam columns before you get too infected and lose your men and women. You will inevitably have to compete with other clans. Sometimes you’ll make alliances, sometimes you’ll betray them… often you’ll fight. But you must do it at the right time. Your clan has a unique set of special abilities that, when used correctly, can help you gain an advantage over your opponents. Different scenarios give you different objectives or special rules, adding replayability and variety to a truly unique gameplay experience.
