Hermann Oak harness leather is heavy, firm and loaded with oils and waxes, so it carries the load and resists stretching. How do I know it will fit my horse? Chest width is what matters on a breast collar, not the horse's height. Measure across the chest from rigging dee to rigging dee, and compare that to the collar plus the adjustment the tugs give you. Two sets of 4" tugs come with this collar. Is 4" too much collar for everyday roping? Not if you pull hard. The extra width spreads the load and is easier on the horse's chest.
