By having the stencil sandwiched between the moveable tool it allows the user to quickly lift the stencil off and place it on another cookie without having to deal with magnets. It also helps hold down the stencil to the surface of the cookie. Will the genie magnets fall out? No, the magnets are molded inside of the plastic so there is nothing to break or come loose. What size cookies will the genie work on? It has two sides and can handle cookie thicknesses from ¼” to 3/8”. If you have extra thick cookies then you can try the XTC adapter. There are other products that look just like this but aren’t the genie brand. Are they the same? No, this is a patented product and is designed to fit 5.5” stencils.
