Produces heavy crops of crisp, juicy apples with a classic balance of sweetness and acidity. Late-season variety ready for harvest in October and November; fruit stores well throug h winter. Requires a warm, sunny, and sheltered site with well-drained soil to ensure fruit ripens fully. Supplied as a bare root tree during dormancy, which encourages faster root establishment and vigorous spring growth. Suitable for container growing in large troughs or planters; choose a container at least 45cm deep and wide, fill with loam-based compost (John Innes No. 3), and ensure the graft union remains above the soil line.
