The pre-hospital environment presents unique challenges for the safe handling and administration of drugs. Improvised and hybrid techniques often include temporary labelling or indicators which can be missed or detached in challenging conditions. With colours consistent with the syringe labelling guidelines of the Association of Anaesthetists of Great Britain and Ireland, these sterile syringes provide an immediate visual prompt and differentiation for drugs enabling risk mitigation and robust clinical governance.
