Handsome scimitar sword brooch from the 1940's. The pin is a nice weight of silver and has good detail to the casting. It is possibly from the "Thief of Baghdad" which was a popula r theme in the 1940's. This one has a row of beading across the top of the blade and on the guard. There is a safety catch at the back to keep the pin stem in place. It has some small scratches and wear typical for its age.
