Alvin Adkins, born in Prince Rupert, British Columbia in 1959, is a member of the Haida Nation from Haida Gwaii, bearing the family crests of the Raven, Bear, and Killer Whale. Self-taught in Northwest Coast artistry from age 22, Alvin has also been influenced by distinguished artists such as Dempsey Bob, Freda Diesing, Bill Reid, Robert Davidson, and Don Yeomans. He works in silver, gold, wood, and argillite, creating pieces distinguished by craftsmanship, imagination, and a dedication to preserving Haida heritage. Chain sold separately.
