A beautiful French still life from 1946 with a wonderfully moody palette of aubergine, olive green and terracotta. The arrangement of shells, bottles and oil lamp feels both decora tive and timeless, while the substantial carved frame adds texture and character. A piece with real presence. Oil on canvas, signed lower right (French School) and dated 1946. Dimensions 73 x 69cm framed.
