Stinger SPW516BK 16 Gauge Black Tinned OFC Speaker Cable 152 Metre Roll The SPW516BK from Stinger is a 16 gauge black tinned OFC speaker cable supplied in a 152 metre roll. Built with 65-strand true-spec oxygen-free copper conductors rated from -20°C to 105°C, it delivers minimal resistance and reliable power transfer from amplifier to speaker across a wide range of car audio applications. Product overview Speaker cable quality directly affects how much of the amplifier's output actually reaches the speaker. The SPW516BK uses 100% tinned oxygen-free copper conductors with a 65-strand count (0.16mm per strand), providing low resistance and consistent power delivery across the speaker cable run. The tinned conductors resist oxidation over time, maintaining connection integrity in automotive environments where heat and moisture are ongoing concerns. The -20°C to 105°C temperature range ensures the cable performs reliably across the full spectrum of automotive thermal conditions, from cold start in winter through to sustained heat exposure in summer. The 152 metre roll is well suited to trade and installer use, providing sufficient cable for many vehicle installations from a single spool purchase, and can be cut to the required length for each application. Features and benefits 16 gauge 65-strand tinned OFC conductors: True-spec 100% oxygen-free copper with a 65-strand count at 0.16mm per strand and tinned conductors delivers minimal resistance, reliable power transfer, and long-term corrosion resistance in automotive speaker installations. -20°C to 105°C temperature rating: The wide operating temperature range ensures consistent cable performance from cold winter starts through to sustained heat exposure in summer, covering the full spectrum of automotive thermal conditions. Black colour: The black finish suits standard automotive speaker wiring applications and provides a clean, consistent appearance in the finished installation. 152 metre trade roll: Supplied in a 152 metre roll that can be cut to length for each application, making it well suited to trade and installer use across a large number of vehicle installations from a single spool purchase. It is not a power cable and should not be used for amplifier power or ground runs. What is the difference between the SPW516BK and the SPW512BK?Both are black tinned OFC speaker cables from Stinger. The SPW512BK is 12 gauge on a 76 metre roll, suited to higher-powered systems or longer speaker cable runs where minimising resistance is a priority. The SPW516BK is 16 gauge on a 152 metre roll, suited to standard speaker installations where a lighter gauge is sufficient. Select the gauge that matches your amplifier's output and speaker cable run length. Why are tinned conductors important in speaker cable?Tinned conductors have a thin coating of solder applied to the copper strands, which prevents oxidation and corrosion over time. In automotive environments where heat and moisture are ongoing factors, tinned conductors maintain connection integrity and consistent resistance across the life of the installation. Can the 152 metre roll be cut to a custom length?Yes. The SPW516BK is supplied as a 152 metre roll that can be cut to the required length for each installation, making it suited to both individual vehicle runs and high-volume trade use across many installations. Is the SPW516BK available in other colours or gauges?Contact us to confirm the full range of Stinger OFC speaker cable options available in other colours and gauges to suit your specific installation requirements.
