Stinger ST27AA25 Dual FAKRA to Standard DIN Amplified Antenna Adapter for European and Ford Vehicles The ST27AA25 from Stinger converts two single FAKRA male antenna connections to a standard DIN male plug, allowing aftermarket head unit installation in vehicles fitted with dual FAKRA antenna outputs. It is compatible with a broad range of European vehicles from Audi, Volkswagen, Mercedes, Skoda, Peugeot, Ford, Volvo, Land Rover, BMW, and Lamborghini. Product overview Many European vehicles from the mid-2000s onward use FAKRA-style antenna connectors rather than the standard DIN plug found on most aftermarket head units. The ST27AA25 bridges that gap, combining two individual FAKRA male connections into a single standard DIN male output so your replacement head unit connects cleanly without signal loss or antenna modification. This adapter is particularly suited to Volkswagen Group vehicles across the Golf, Polo, Passat, Tiguan, Amarok, and Touareg ranges, as well as Audi A3, A4, TT, and R8 models. Ford Focus (including XR5) and Mondeo owners requiring FAKRA conversion will also find this adapter applicable, noting it is required for 2011 and later Focus models. Volvo XC90 fitment applies when the antenna is located in the breakout box on the passenger-side C-pillar; if your XC90 antenna is not in the breakout box, the MTHA44 is the correct adapter instead. Features and benefits Dual FAKRA male to standard DIN male conversion: Combines two individual FAKRA male connections into a single DIN male output, allowing direct connection to standard aftermarket head unit antenna inputs without cutting or modifying factory wiring. Amplified signal retention: Designed to retain the amplified antenna signal from OEM systems, preserving reception quality after head unit replacement. Broad European vehicle compatibility: Confirmed fitment across Audi, Volkswagen, Skoda, Mercedes, Peugeot, Ford, Volvo, Land Rover, BMW, and Lamborghini applications spanning model years from 1994 to 2022. OEM plug integrity: Uses factory-style FAKRA connectors to ensure a secure, rattle-free fit against the vehicle's original antenna plugs. This allows you to connect an aftermarket head unit to a vehicle that uses dual FAKRA-style OEM antenna outputs. Why does my vehicle have two FAKRA connections instead of one DIN plug? Many European vehicles use dual FAKRA connectors to support both AM/FM reception and an amplified antenna circuit. The ST27AA25 combines both into the single DIN input that most aftermarket head units require. Does this adapter work on all Ford Focus models from 2008 to 2015?For the LV series Focus (2008 to 2011), this adapter is required for 2011 models only. The LW series (2012 to 2015) is also confirmed compatible. If you are unsure which series your vehicle is, contact us before ordering. My Volvo XC90 has a FAKRA antenna connection. Will the ST27AA25 fit?It depends on where your antenna is located. The ST27AA25 is correct when the antenna terminates in the breakout box on the passenger-side C-pillar. If the antenna is not in that breakout box, you will need the MTHA44 instead. Contact us if you are unsure which applies to your vehicle. Can I confirm compatibility for a vehicle not listed in the table? The compatibility table reflects all confirmed fitment data available for this product. If your vehicle is not listed, contact us and we can help determine whether the ST27AA25 is the right adapter for your application.
