Vintage, Indian stone board. Sourced from old wares in India with the intent to repurpose. In India, the tradition of making chapati, an unleavened bread, dates back to the Indus V alley Civilization during the Bronze Age. The simple tradition of crafting this bread includes slapping the dough between one's hands or rolling it out on a round board. These round, flat plates today can serve as a base for a collection of candles or sculptural artwork.
