Attach the tension lock to the back lid compression strap from the bag, then the quick attach side lock buckles to the top loops on the front of the bag. These straps can also double as a compression strap extension for any strap on the pack. Simply remove the side lock buckle from the strap on the pack, then add the extension strap via the tension lock.
