The patterns on this turquoise rimmed pot comes from a concentric geometric design found on Malaysian traditional pottery. The original pattern is impressed from a stick, but mine are inscribed with a method called scraffito where the incised lines are later inlaid with manganese dioxide to blacken them. They are then painted with wax to resist the turquoise glaze. Home Show more
